At the Museum for Islamic Art

Meetings are on Thursdays 16:00-19:00 for Grades 10

 

L.A. Mayer Museum of Islamic Art promotes a cultivation of unique programs to create a bridge between Arab and Jewish cultures. In this program, Palestinian and Jewish High School students will meet weekly to advance their photography skills and develop a dialog to explore their own and each other’s identities.

 

 

Meeting Dates:

High School students, in Grades 10, 11 & 12 on Thursdays 16:00-19:00 on the following dates:

November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29  

December 13, 20, 27

January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

February 7, 14, 21, 20

March 7, 14, 28

High School students, in Grades 10, 11 & 12 on Tuesdays 16:00-19:00 on the following dates:

November 13, 27   

December   11, 18

January 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

February    5, 12, 26

March 5, 12, 19, 26 

April 9, 16, 30   

The program is approximately 60 hours

30 hours of learning and advancing photography skills, and developing proper tools for social involvement.

Daily schedule:

16:20 Tour of the museum-Teaching photography skills. Look at uploaded (to Facebook page) photos from last week’s class and homework photos

17:30 discussion of today’s topic  

18:30 conclusion and homework

 

Participation cost: 450 NIS for the year
