Arabic Course

 

Learning spoken Arabic, and learning about Arabic culture and attaining skills to get to know the other in a multicultural environment. The course comprises classes, tours, conversations and exercises and teaching the foundations of spoken Arabic (including writing and reading). The studies require homework and conversations sessions with Arabic speakers.

About the teacher Anouar Ben Badis Ansar:

He has a B.A. in linguistics and French (and a teacher’s diploma in Arabic) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and an M.A. in linguistics and translating from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He has a PhD in linguistics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Text books and sources:

The book Ledaber Aravit – Shittat Limmud Hadashah (Speaking Arabic – A New Learning Method) published by Minerva. Part 1 includes a CD which goes with a book, and there are also external texts prepared by the teacher in addition to the classes based on the book of songs and stories from local Arabic culture, and old wives’ tales.
