Come and celebrate exciting and original birthdays at the museum’s unique exhibitions.
Birthday activities include experiential tours on a wide range of topics, a creative workshop tailored to the tour theme, and a birthday celebration in an appropriate space.
The Wonders of Islamic Art
The experiential tour introduces the children to a rich world of art, esthetics and inspiration which they meet through the artifacts and jewelry from various eras, the ceramic and glass vessels, and the etched wooden furniture, encrusted with precious stones. The tour includes fascinating activities which offer a better understanding of the various works of art, and their different artistic and practical aspects.
The children are introduced to the annals of time measurement through a range of tasks, using the earliest clocks, such as a sundial, water clock, sand clock and fire clock, through to mechanical clocks: tower clocks, pocket watches, carriage clocks, spring watches and wrist watches.
Like Putty in the Hand of the Maker
A multisensorial encounter with the material: glass, ceramics, wood, metal and stone. During the experiential tour, the children will observe the various artistic techniques used by craftsmen to make jewelry, vessels, tiles and furniture, and they will identify the works of art they make.
The Magical Odyssey
The children will join in the adventures of Amir, the lad, who is looking for the lost treasure. That will bring them into the Arab world where they will learn about traditional Moslem customs, and ancient works of art.
Following the Wonder Spring
A theatrical water tour: We will discover the wonder bubbling spring in the middle of the desert, we will learn about ancient vessels used to store liquids, and we will think, together, about the importance of water for man, in the past and today.
