"Roots of Gold"

"Roots of Gold"

A Limited Edition Jewelry Item Designed and Uniquely Inscribed by
Designer Rami Tareef:

A handcrafted lapel pin with a gold layered olive stone – a universal symbol of peace, coexistence and multiculturalism - at the center.

The proceeds from sales of the pin will go to the Tolerance Coalition organization which leads ventures and projects that advance values of tolerance and accepting others in Jerusalem, a city that is sacred to the world’s three main monotheistic religions.

Cost: NIS 150

Tareef’s design for the pin was inspired by the "Jewelry Making: Past & Present" exhibition which is currently showing at the museum, and using the idiom of jewelry making to present dialogue between the three religions for which Jerusalem is sacred – Islam, Judaism and Christianity.

Rami Tareef – designer, artist, curator, lecturer and researcher of culture and design. He is a graduate of the Industrial Design Faculty of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and the Zurich-based ZHDK school of arts which he completed with an honor final project. He has a master’s degree in design from Bezalel, is a graduate of the prestigious d-Vision program for outstanding designers, operated by the Keter company, and was awarded the Minister of Culture’s prize for design in 2017.

The lapel pins are sold at the Museums' cashier or on-line at: http://bit.ly/2yTaby9
