The Temple Mount Through the Ages – History, Archaeology, Art, and New Research Findings

This study day will provide tour guides with a detailed overview of the Temple Mount, spanning from the First Temple period through the Second Temple period and into the early Islamic era. The lectures will explore the history, architecture, monuments, and art of the Temple Mount across history.
Schedule:
8:00–9:00: Introductory tour at the museum
9:15–10:30: The Temple Mount during the First and Second Temple periods, Part I
10:45–12:00: The Temple Mount during the First and Second Temple periods, Part II
12:00–12:30: Lunch break
12:30–14:00: The Temple Mount under Islamic rule
* Since the museum does not have a cafeteria, it is recommended to bring food and drinks.
