Curriculums for Middle Schools and High Schools

Visiting the museum exposes the students to a memorable and meaningful learning experience outside of the school.

This learning experience illustrates, enriches and expands the subjects of art, history, geography and civics.

We offer a wide range of educational activities tailored to the Ministry of Education's curriculum.

Islamic Art

The guided tour opens a window of understanding the evolution of Islamic art. Through careful observation we will discover various and complex artistic techniques that have evolved and improved throughout the history of the Muslim world. We will be exposed to a variety of decorative art pieces that were created with various techniques and materials that represent the peaks of art in Islam.

Arabic Language and Writing

The Arabic language and writing are the cornerstones of decorative Islamic art. We will follow the development of Arabic writing and its techniques and understand the importance of calligraphy as an artistic element and as a tool for documentation. The tour integrates values of Islamic culture through stories, phrases and proverbs.

Government and Society in Islam

We will embark upon a journey through time and discover Islamic fine art, which is the most prominent expression of the influences and connections between various communities and societies in the Muslim world. Through encountering historical figures and dilemmas, we will learn about the attitude of Muslim empires towards the cultures and minorities that were under their control, and find out what could be relevant to us today.

The Jews in Islamic Countries

The integrated life and hundreds of years old cultural and linguistic ties between Jews and Muslims have created various colourful interactions and mutual influences, developing a glorious shared culture. During the tour, we will be exposed to the mutual influence and cooperation between Judaism and Islam, and learn about the life of Jews and Muslims in Muslim countries and their influence on our life in Israel.

The Sanctity of Jerusalem in the Three Religions

Living side by side in Jerusalem today are Jews, Muslims and Christians. What are the roots of Jerusalem's sanctity to these three religions? What do they have in common and how do they differ? What kinds of inter-religious interactions have occurred in the past and what occurs today? We will discuss these questions by familiarising ourselves with the impressive architecture and art that give the city its beauty and magic, and give expression to the fascinating cultural diversity of its residents.
